The Phantom — born to cruise, built to last

Some electric bikes get you from A to B. The Eclipse Phantom makes you want to find a longer route. Inspired by the café racers of the 1970s — lean frames, low bars, fat rubber — the Phantom takes that spirit and runs it through a Bafang motor and a Samsung-cell battery that’ll carry you up to 140 kilometres before you see a charger.

This is the bike other brands charge $4,000 to $6,000 for in Australia. We know — because ours comes from the same factory. Same frame geometry, same component brands, same build quality. The difference is the Eclipse badge and a price that actually makes sense.

Who it's for

Weekend cruisers who want something they'll actually look forward to riding

Commuters who are tired of arriving looking like they've been to the gym

Anyone who looked at a Revi Cheetah or DiroDi Rover and thought 'love the look, hate the price'

      Riders 163cm to 193cm (5'4" to 6'4") — fits a wide range

What makes it different

Three motor configurations — choose at checkout. 250W EN15194 Road-Legal: compliant with all Australian road rules, no licence or registration required, perfect for roads, bike paths, and shared trails. 500W Mid-Power: more grunt for private land, rural tracks, and fire trails — not road-legal on public paths. 750W Off-Road Performance: full power, steepest hills, fastest response — for private property and off-road use only. All configurations use the Bafang rear hub motor — the same brand trusted by other premium brands at double the price. Bafang motor

Two battery sizes — choose at checkout. 48V 18Ah (standard range): up to 80km per charge, ideal for daily commuting and weekend rides. 48V 30Ah (extended range): up to 140km per charge, built for long-distance touring, rural riders, and anyone who hates stopping to recharge. Both use genuine Samsung lithium-ion cells — not generic. Samsung means consistent range, slower degradation, and safer chemistry than budget alternatives. Samsung battery — two sizes, choose at checkout

Four inches of tyre width means you're floating over gravel, sand, and wet roads that would rattle a skinny-tyre bike to pieces. 26" × 4.0" Kenda fat tyres

Front and rear 180mm hydraulic discs. Pull the lever and the bike stops — no squeezing, no fading, no drama. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes

Real Shimano. Because flimsy no-name derailleurs are the fastest way to ruin a good ride. Shimano 7-speed gears

This isn't a generic open-market frame you'll see on a dozen other brands. The Phantom's frame is a private design — your neighbours won't have the same bike. Private frame design

Shows speed, PAS level, odometer, trip distance, battery level, and lets you switch between Class 1, 2, and 3 modes and Eco/Normal/Sport ride modes. Full-colour LCD display

Every Eclipse eBike comes with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. Not 12 months. Two years. 2-year warranty

Road legal in Australia — here's what you need to know

Australia requires all road-legal electric bikes to comply with EN 15194 — a maximum of 250W continuous power and 25 km/h pedal-assist speed. The Phantom is available in three motor configurations and two battery sizes — all chosen at checkout:

250W EN15194 Road-Legal — compliant with all Australian state laws, no licence or registration required, perfect for roads, bike paths, and shared trails. Maximum pedal-assist speed 25 km/h.

500W Mid-Power — for riders who want more grunt than road-legal but ride primarily on private land, rural tracks, and fire trails. Not road-legal on public roads or shared paths.

750W Off-Road Performance — full power, fastest response, steepest hills. For private property and off-road use only. Not legal on public roads or shared paths.

Not sure which motor to choose? Riding on roads, footpaths, or shared bike paths — choose the 250W. Private land, rural tracks, or maximum power — choose the 500W or 750W. Not sure which battery to choose? For commuting and weekend rides, the 18Ah is plenty. For long-distance touring, hilly terrain, or if you simply never want to think about charging — go the 30Ah.

Range guide — real-world Australian conditions

48V 18Ah + 250W ECO mode — up to 80km

48V 18Ah + 750W SPORT mode — up to 45km

48V 30Ah + 250W ECO mode — up to 140km

48V 30Ah + 750W SPORT mode — up to 80km

All figures based on flat terrain, 80kg rider, moderate temperature. Hills, headwinds, heavier riders, and higher assist levels will reduce range.

Ride modes

Eco — maximum range, gentle assist, ideal for flat commutes

Normal — balanced power and range for everyday riding

Sport — full power, fastest response, shortest range

Throttle-only — no pedalling required, twist and go
